Adair Rommel
Adair Rommel graduated with honors from Providence College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. While at Providence, Ms. Rommel worked for the law firm of Roberts, Carroll, Feldstein and Pierce. Subsequent to that, Ms. Rommel enrolled at Florida State University School of Law in Tallahassee, Florida where she later graduated with her law degree, with cum laude honors.
While in law school, Ms. Rommel was active in various causes. Ms. Rommel participated in the Children's Advocacy Clinic and began representing clients in matters including SSI disability, family law, and juvenile criminal matters.
She interned with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and served as a guardian ad litem while in Tallahassee.
Following graduation from law school, Ms. Rommel moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney. Ms. Rommel worked as a prosecutor for over eight years. She handled cases ranging from misdemeanor DUIs to homicides. She spent four years in the Sexual Assault Division and two years in the Repeat Offender section of that division, before being promoted to the position of Division Chief over County Court. Prior to leaving the State Attorney's Office, Ms. Rommel was assigned to the specialized Homicide/Gun Unit where she handled the most complex of criminal cases.
Having joined the Law Office of Jason K.S. Porter, P.A. in 2009 as an associate lawyer, Ms. Rommel puts her years of trial experience to work in defense of the firm's clients charged with DUI and other criminal offenses.
